Italian luxury label Bottega Veneta launched a new fragrance, Knot Eau Florale. While the scent is new, the beautiful flacon’s cap, remains the bottle’s most distinctive design element: a gold, knot-shaped closure that recalls the closure of Bottega Veneta’s Knot clutch. As usual, the brand’s emphasis on discretion, quality and timeless design. Same applies to the scent and its flacon.
THE SCENT: Knot Eau Florale is the continuation of the collaboration between Tomas Maier and master perfumer Daniela Andrier. A floral expression of the Knot fragrance, Knot Eau Florale features amplified notes of Rose and Peony layered with the softness of musk. The Mediterranean soul of the scent continues to radiate through notes of mandarin, neroli and lavender, underscored by the earthiness of cedar wood and tonka beans.
INSPIRATION: Creative Director Tomas Maier’s inspiration for Knot is a vision of an escape from reality that leads to a villa on the Italian Riviera. Knot Eau Florale conjures the next chapter of the Mediterranean interlude, this time set in the villa’s private flower garden. Blossoming with fragrant roses and peonies, the garden is a private sanctuary that feels intensely alive, yet refined in its expression.
TOMAS MAIER: Fashion designer and master of understatement. Most busy German fashion designer after Karl Lagerfeld. Has also been working for brands like Hermès and Sonia Rykiel.
